Many teams need monthly or weekly CSV exports. It is the fastest option when you need pivots that the panel does not provide, or when you must merge data with finance.
Export is not the endpoint; it is a temporary bridge. The moment the need becomes recurring, evaluate webhooks plus a sustainable pipeline.
What the export contains
CSV includes date, restaurant, table, platform, stars, review text, tags and customer contact details. For privacy compliance, only authorized users should download personal data, and files should not linger on devices.
Excel and Sheets tips
- Open with UTF-8 BOM to keep accented characters intact.
- Format the star column as a number.
- Keep dates in yyyy-mm-dd format.
- Platform and tag columns are enough for pivots.
- Add a filter row to ease cleanup.
BI ingestion
For Looker Studio, Power BI or Metabase, switching from manual CSV to webhook-based ingestion is healthier over time. CSV is a fine starting point but not a long-term answer at scale.
